Business Development Manager Kaduna
Pullus Africa is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead our growth, innovation, and market expansion strategy. This role goes beyond traditional business development, it’s about building new partnerships, unlocking funding, managing R&D initiatives, and designing innovative solutions that position Pullus as a market leader. This role will report directly to the CEO.
The ideal candidate can evolve into a Director of Business Intelligence & Innovation, shaping how Pullus scales across Nigeria and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development, forging strategic partnerships with donors, investors, corporates, and institutional buyers.
- Prepare high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and pitch decks that secure funding and strategic collaborations.
- Conduct market research to identify new growth opportunities and innovative solutions across the poultry value chain.
- Drive R&D initiatives on farmer productivity, input optimization, climate-smart practices, and cold-chain innovation.
- Collaborate with our data, product, and operations teams to design market-driven solutions that improve farmer outcomes and customer experience.
- Build and manage a pipeline of funding and partnership opportunities aligned with Pullus Africa’s growth strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agribusiness, Development Studies, or related field.
- 5+ years experience in business development, strategy, or partnerships, agribusiness or development experience preferred.
- Proven success in grant writing, fundraising, and partnership management.
- Skilled in market research, innovation strategy, and R&D coordination.
- Strong communicator, storyteller, and relationship builder, comfortable working across private, development, and government sectors.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for scaling impact and innovation.
