Pullus Innovative Finance Officer (PIF Officer)
The PIF Officer will support the implementation and management of PIF programs for farmers. The successful candidate will work directly with the PIF Manager to coordinate farmer financing activities from onboarding and verification through production monitoring, off-take, repayment and portfolio management reconciliation.
This is a hands-on role and the PIF officer will work with farmers, field teams, aggregators, stakeholders, cluster leaders, financial records, and operational data. The ideal candidate should be able to combine field execution, credit monitoring, farmer relationship management, data analysis, and collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support farmer onboarding, documentation, verification, and eligibility assessment under the PIF program.
- Manage day-to-day Farmer Credit operations, including farmer exposure, equity contributions, input allocation, and financing utilization.
- Monitor farmers and clusters throughout production cycles, identifying performance issues, operational challenges, and early credit risk signals.
- Support collections, repayment tracking, recovery activities, and reconciliation of farmer and cluster accounts.
- Monitor off-take activities, including product delivery, quantities, weights, pricing, deductions, and farmer settlements.
- Maintain accurate portfolio data and prepare regular reports on farmer financing, recovery, farmer performance, mortality, and portfolio risk.
- Ensure compliance with PIF policies and SOPs while coordinating effectively with farmers, cluster leaders, extension teams, aggregators, and other stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in agricultural finance, micro-finance, credit operations, farmer financing, collections, agribusiness, field operations, or a related role.
- Practical experience working with farmers, cooperatives, aggregators, or rural businesses is strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of basic credit and portfolio management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
- Resides in Kaduna.
